Vietnam NDC Sectoral Report – Waste

The report for waste focuses predominantly on solid waste treatment due to the limited availability of reliable data on wastewater treatment. The objective of this study is to determine the potential for GHG emissions reduction compared to the Business-As-Usual scenario (BAU) for the 2021-2030 period based on cost-benefit analyses and the prioritisation of mitigation technologies in the waste sector. The year 2014 is used as a baseline since the last GHG inventory was conducted in that year, providing national data that can be used for modelling.
