Report: Assessing Loss and Damage in the Agricultural Sector in the Provinces of Quang Binh and Ha Tinh, Viet Nam
Due to Viet Nam being highly vulnerable to the effects of climate change, L&D has long been a critical issue. Given that climate change impacts are projected to be more severe in the future, the amount of L&D is likely to become even greater, despite adaptation measures being in place. For its part, Viet Nam has developed and applied a national and legal framework to collect and analyse L&D data. Given that the attribution study is still at its infancy stage, the concept of L&D in Viet Nam is being developed in relation to disaster risk reduction. Thus, it is often referred to as being associated with natural hazards, which have a strong focus on extreme weather events and economic value.
