A Gender Sensitive Framework for Mainstreaming Nationally Determined Contributions in Provincial Planning Processes in Viet Nam
November 2021
In response to the Paris Agreement’s call for climate action, Vietnam submitted an updated NDC in 2020, a result of three years of collaborative effort involving various stakeholders. SNV, part of the NDC Partnership, supports Vietnam in integrating NDC targets into provincial planning. They emphasize gender-sensitive approaches to climate goals, aligning with socio-economic priorities. Projects like Enhancing Opportunities for Women’s Enterprises (EOWE) underscore SNV’s leadership in climate and gender issues. SNV is also aiding green growth strategies in Lam Dong province, reinforcing Vietnam’s NDC implementation and climate commitment. The focus is on effective climate policy integration and enhanced commitments.
