GIGI Launch Webinar draws strong interest from clean energy innovators in Viet Nam

On 5 March 2026, the Green Innovation Grants Initiative (GIGI) launched its first Call for Proposals through a webinar that attracted nearly 140 participants from across Viet Nam’s clean energy and innovation ecosystem.

During the session, the project team introduced GIGI’s objectives, programme structure, and grant support, along with tailored capacity-building activities designed for participating enterprises. Key information on eligibility criteria, the application process, and the indicative timeline was also shared with attendees.

The webinar featured a Q&A session, with strong participation from SMEs. Discussions focused on selection criteria, co-financing requirements, and how to develop competitive proposals, highlighting both the interest and preparedness of private sector actors in advancing clean energy innovation.

By mobilising innovative solutions from the private sector, GIGI aims to accelerate the deployment and scaling of clean energy technologies, contributing to greenhouse gas emissions reduction and supporting Viet Nam’s energy transition.

The first Call for Proposals has now closed, marking a milestone in identifying promising enterprises and innovations for further support under the initiative.
